I am going to the 10,000 lakes festival. I will be leaving tomorrow morning, but i have a phone with internet access so i will be able to check this out. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in the event poster. It looks pretty tight. It won EB weekly award this week.

I would be interested in a trade most likely. If anyone is interested just post it here.

I know you said you prefer trade, but if you decide to buy some extras you can count on atleast one buyer!! So if you grab a few, I will FOR SURE buy one off of you. Let me know, thanks!

So I am sorry to everyone who wanted a poster. I couldnt find that poster anywhere. I couldnt even manage to get one for myself.

Did you get to see Pollock's booth? I saw the video of him printing it on youtube and it looked pretty cool. My tastes have kind of changed and his art doesn't really appeal to me as much as it used to, but he's an amazingly talented dude.

yeah i saw his booth. He was there making some prints. I didnt stay for long, but it looked like a really cool process.

Wish I could have seen that. I'd love to hit up his gallery in Chicago.

We definitely have to thank him for some of this recent "poster revival". I've talked with Thomas from EB about it in the past and that's all EB was going to be - a way to track Pollock prices - and now look what it is.

Amazing too how the art becomes such an obsession. I bought my first Pollock at Albany '99 and could have bought a dozen without problem. Then it was available from Dry Goods for a few weeks. The last Pollock I *attempted* to buy was Hampton '03 and I gave up when I saw some kid push another out of the way while running to get in the "posters only" line to buy one. Probably just so he could flip it on ebay. Hell with that. So much for 'just a piece of paper'.
