Cornbread - good song, has a great feel to it, I think it will def stick around for a long time
Eh Hee - very unusual song, can be played with ant format (DM, D & T and DMB), I like it, but it already has been released so I highly doubt it will re-appear on album
Good Good Time - one of my overall favorite songs, love it and really would like to see it return
Idea Of You - great song, needs to not be played at every show
27 - mixed feelings on the song, I like the lyrics, but it needs something else to bring it over the top
Can't Stop - would like to see it come back as more of a 2-3 minute intro too crush
Joy Ride - I like, but not sure how much I would like to see it return, doubt it will be on the new album since it was on the WH Stand Up bonus
Break Free - I like the song, but its just not solid enough to stay around
Shotgun - amazing song, but needs to be more of the end of 06 versions, the 07 versions weren't as strong
Sugar Will - the lyrics have grown on me, the length of the jam after the lyrics kills me and makes me not want to see it
Crazy Easy - bring it back now !!!!!!
Kill The King - not bad, not sure why it fell out of favor with the band, but def has some potential
A Dream So Real - get rid of it, lyrics are decent, but it truly is a set killer

The 2004 unreleased songs are fantastic. I am still baffled by their Stand Up decisions.

What, no Monkey Man? Get old school! :)

Does anyone have a list of unreleased material from Lillywhite and Some Devil? I know of Cigarette Lit, but heard a song on AOL Radio the other day I did not know, and it said it was from the Lillywhite Sessions (which I thought I had).

We also need to add into the list of unreleased material from 04, 05, 06 and 07

Falling Off the Roof - played once, sounds way too much like Shotgun, def not upset it hasnt returned
I Wont Give It Away - played once Dave solo, neat little tune, would like to see if it progressed or not
Sister - lots of play over 06/07, I like it as a E1 song, and would def like to see it stick around
Run While We Can - soundchecked several times in 06, I like what I've heard of soundchecks, needs to come out for a full viewing
Mark and Carter Jam - part of the SU WH bonus disc, it was soundchecked with Carter and Butch at Hershey 06 (the almanac doesnt list it, but those at listening def heard a good 2-3 minutes of it), I would like to see it attempted in a segue somewhere
Trouble With You - I love the bass line in it, not sure how the song would transfer live, but they should try it

Lillywhite Sessions: Build You A House, Monkey Man and Sweet Up and Down are the only ones I know of that weren't released

Some Devil Sessions: Litho Blitho (released on a compliation CD), Cigarette Lit (leaked on the boards)

YES! Build You A House! Does anyone have this? For some reason it isnt with my Lillywhite tracklisting.

Also, what Comp was Litho Blitho on? I must be getting old.

Falling Off the Roof sounds to basically be a intro to Shotgun ... I dont really think that it is the same at A Dream So Real *gags*

Interesting ... a song from the earlier 90's thrown in the a new song thread ... but on another note, I'm kind of glad the song never really made a appearance, I really dont care for it that much and its not very strong imo

It was never released or played live, but it was recorded, so I thought I would throw it in.

Can someone post a track listing to the lillywhite sessions for me? I don't think my copy is right.

There are two track listings ... the normal track listing doesnt include Build You A House on it, so yours probably is right

Run While We Can is amazing, even in the crappy recording somebody got at MGM in Vegas. Would have loved to hear it this summer, maybe an album suprise.

That would be ribs :ribs

am I the only person who likes both Falling off a Roof and A Dream So Real?

but my favorite's on the list of songs is #27 and Cornbread as a Tie

just something about both those songs that hit me
Shotgun would be my number three song

I can do without them all with the exception of Cornbread, Sugar Will, and Can't Stop...those are great and have potential for a sick evolution...or in the case of Can't Stop a de-evolution...the more they played this in 06 the worse it got...

good thread

it's funny this thread got brought up. i have pretty much beaten big whiskey to death (listening to it so much), so i went back and found some cds with these songs on them. good i love break free, shotgun, kill the king, trouble with you, and sugar will.

edit: I have never tracked down the lillywhite sessions, any suggestions where to find a good copy of it?

Was A Dream So Real hated by everyone but me?

I enjoyed it. It was rough, but I felt like there was potential. It was just nice to hear something so different and unpolished come from them.
