No sure if anyone here cares, but my good friend wanted to build a site for Jack Johnson posters similar to this one. Here's the almost final site: http://jackposters.com/
Feedback is of course welcome.

I wouldn't mind starting to collect Jack Johnson posters...
But I really wish that he'd tour again soon, however small it may be.

I was actually surprised at how many he has - especially for his limited touring that only covers ~6 years. I thought there would only be 15-20... but I think he's up to 50 or so. Mix that with low print runs on a lot of the silkscreened stuff and I think there's potential there. That Ames Bros Gorge print from 2004 always cracks me up. It's one of the few non-PJ Ames prints that I own. The best part is that a lot of talented artists (King, BG folks, Houston, Shaw, Slater, etc) were in the mix relatively early in Jack's touring career. I'd trade just about any one of those for a lot of the Dave junk that's out there. The whole 2003 Keene run comes to mind! I believe a lot of the posters were promoter/venue commissioned, so there's a solid mix of artists.
We'll have to see what happens when he tours again. All I know is I've learned more about his posters in the last 96 hours than I ever expected to know.

In a related note, I think he and I are going to tackle a Hendrix site next. Though that will be a serious undertaking.
In another related note, we're going to apply most of the code from that Jack Johnson site to the DavePosters site. That way you'll be able to search for posters by different criteria, upload your own images, and submit new posters as you find them...

Yeah I always feel like Slater's overlooked for some reason. I'm a big fan of his stuff too - he's seriously talented.

Saw this on myspace if anyone was interested in his posters!
Jack is back in North America and just kicked off the final leg of his Sleep Through The Static Tour in Toronto over the weekend. We are so excited to announce that we will be offering a very special limited edition poster that will be available in the merch area for each of the US stops (with the exception of festivals, 15 posters total!).
For the project we have enlisted the help from some of our favorite artists and designers to provide unique designs for each show. The posters will be screenprinted on a quality 100% recycled stock and sold in numbered editions of 300. After each show we will be selling any leftover posters on our website so be sure to check back if you aren't able to pick one up at the show of your choice! A handful of the posters will be signed by the artist and sold here on our website. At the end of the tour we will be auctioning off a FULL SET of SIGNED posters (details to come soon).
This week's designs include 2 designs by Dave Lively and Jeff Motch (Aug 6, Manfield MA and Aug 7 Camden, NJ).
Check back weekly for updates on the artists to peep some more of the incredible designs that have been developed for this series.
