Kevin was upfront about the print not being completely mint and I still think he was too harsh. Print arrived today in great condition! It was wrapped like a bank vault...I thought the olympic torch was sent!

Thanks for being so thourough with sending pics about the print, I'm glad to have the Scranton in my collection! Enjoy the DC N2!

BAD TRADER - KCENTURY

I purchased a 2008 DMB Hershey poster from the seller kcentury that he advertised as "mint" in this thread:

http://www.daveposters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1782

I promptly kcentury and he sent the poster, however he neglected to properly wrap the poster in kraft paper to ensure that it did not "slide around" in the tube during shipment. Because he did not do that, the poster was damaged as a result of the unsecured nature of the shipment, resulting in 3 inches of bends/creases on the lower left side of the poster.

I contacted the seller about this immediately and he refused to give me a refund until I filed a paypal complaint. After I filed a paypal complaint, he offered me $10 "for my trouble" and refused to discuss this further.

I will be posting pictures of the damage on here, but please beware of this seller, because he advertises mint posters, but doesnt know how to properly ship them, and the result is me being out $110.

As already stated, poster was photographed mint before being shipped. Poster was carefully packaged in oversized kraft paper. Poster was delivered to confirmed paypal address via UPS on a Wednesday and first complaint of a crease came on a Sunday night. As such, poster was out of the control of me for almost a week, and out of the control of UPS for almost 100 hours before the first complaint of a small crease.

Buyer tried forcing me into taking it back by returning it against my wishes and threatening to badmouth me on these boards. I asked him to move it to the paypal dispute forums so we can settle it there, which is the appropriate place to settle a problem between buyer and seller, instead of just bullying on the daveposters.com private message boards. I never asked him to open a dispute so that I could give him a full refund there. He has decided to take the issue here instead. I did offer him a 10% discount which I did not even have to do. I am trying to work with him but from his point of view its a full refund or nothing.

You say the poster was sent in mint condition, but the fact of the matter is that it arrived in damaged condition, which was soley your responsibility. I am not badmouthing you, I am letting people know what to expect when they deal with you.

So why should I accept your "offer" of $10 "for my troubles" when I paid for a mint poster and did not receive that from you, because you neglected to package the poster correctly?

And furthermore, I paid for insurance on the full amount for this item. You can take the poster back and file an insurance claim for the damage, and give me a refund for it, but you are refusing to file an insurance claim even though I dont have that ability to do so.

Why do you insist on selling something to someone on here in our community and then screw them over?

With regard to your claim that the poster was in my possession for 100 hours:

The poster was delivered sometime on Thursday to my office. I was out of office from Wednesday morning until Saturday evening at a football game in Colorado, and I have the flight coupons to prove it. The tube sat on my desk, unopened. If you are somehow implying that its my fault that I didnt open the poster to find a damaged piece of merchandise that was damaged because you neglected to send it properly, your out of your mind.

POTENTIAL BUYERS: This seller is trying somehow make it my fault that he improperly packaged the poster that he sent me. Please, please be very cautious in dealing with this seller, as he is denying me a refund due to his error, even though its his fault, and even though I paid for insurance for this item.

And I would invite anyone thinking about dealing with this seller to PM me as well for specific details and pictures of what he sent me.

The fact is that this seller has an 80% success rate with trading successfully and making sure that he lives up to his end of the bargain on this site. Would you buy something from an ebay seller that had an 80% feedback rating, even with the paypal protection plan? Of course you wouldnt. I left the feedback I left on here so other people wont have to go through the trouble the seller insists on putting me through with this transaction.

Two sides to a story? Absolutely? Be sure to PM me so I can make sure you know what you are in for when you deal with this seller.

Kevin asked me to send these to prove I wasnt lying yesterday. If you are considering buying a poster in "Mint Condition" from kcentury that he swears he wrapped in oversized kraft paper properly, this is what you will get:

I don't want to butt in - i just want to try and help. I received damaged merchandise through UPS before and filed a claim and got it resolved in like a weeks time. Unless they have changed how they handle / deal with claims i don't see why you could not file one. It only makes sense that the person receiving the merchandise would know if it's damaged or not - therefore could file a claim. I went to my local UPS drop site to file it. The seller was then reimbursed money and re-sent what was damaged. I was told that UPS may "take" what was damaged but they never.

Awesome guy, Kevin hooked me up with my long lost Dave Budich print for fairly cheap as far as that poster has gone in the last few weeks especially when the one on eBay went for $560 and I didn't pay that. I am not home right now but my family said that everything looks wonderful on it and from the picture I saw it sure does. Would not hesitate to do business with again. He is a great guy.

Thanks Kevin!!!
