I've had this poster for probably 20 years. I don't know if anyone here had ever seen it before. It starts out at the roots of rock and roll (ie: Muddy Waters, Count Bassie, Hank Williams, ect. and the bands get newer as you go up the tree. It "branches" into different areas of rock such as hard rock, southern rock, pop, disco, ect. It was originally printed in 1979 so there are no bands on it that are later than that. Plus, they are all American Bands; he's done seperate posters for british rock. He has since done tree posters for the blues, heavy metal and the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Dave Matthews is on the 90's poster.

They run $30 each. They can be viewed and/or purchased here. (http://www.franchisetrees.com/) Of course, it won't say francisetrees.com on it...

Just thought some of you would be interested in seeing them. Mine is one of my favorite posters.

Cheers...

Actually, I don't know why I referred to it as a poster, it is a print. I don't have the exact measurements but it is about 18x24, give or take...

That's actually pretty cool - I've never seen them before.

I wonder how they get away with using all those band logos?

Good question and one I would like to know the answer to. I would like to own all of them at one point. I think they would look good as a set on one wall, four on top and four on the bottom, Talk about something to look at...
