Thats tough because they are really two different types of prints. The Star Wars is appealing to me because of the detail and because its so matter-of-fact ("It's just another Sunday at the Skywalker household"). The Einstein is less detailed, but I like the simplicity of it. It's funny to me in a different way and I love the message.

The price difference is also a consideration. Star Wars is double the price, but they have the same 300 run (granted SW is signed). If price isn't an issue I'd take the Star Wars because I think its aesthetically more appealing and may have better long term appreciation prospects. But for $50 I think the Einstein is a steal.

Everything I have received has been shipped well. The Einstein print I receives was creased in the middle of the print and did not appear to be damaged during shipping.

Also, with such low print runs its making it harder to determine a true value for his work since its not being heavily traded. I know for myself Im keeping most of my stuff but it seems like the infor at EB isnt changing and my thought is that with print runs of 15 they just arent being traded or sold. Its like he needs to have runs of 300 in order to have them traded so that it brings in more fans of his work... im rambling.

Yeah but based on that article that was posted, there were some pretty heated responses from artists involved in the show saying that he played part in all of it, and crediting him for a lot of the "vision".

I THINK on the MBW stuff its mostly computers. He scans in the pictures he wants, tweaks them (ie. pastes a superman body on there), and then sends them off for printing. For Fairey it seems like he does more of the art himself (although I'm sure he scans in the pics and modifies as well). Anyone want to correct me on this?

Maybe someone well versed in photoshop or other illustrating softwares can shed some light. Once the image is scanned it probably needs to be broken into color components for screen printing. I'm not sure hour labor intensive this is or if he does it himself. Maybe he just tells someone, "I want Einstein holding a Love is the Answer sign...make it happen". Maybe he hand draws everything himself and scans that, but I doubt it. For me, it doesn't really matter because I like the images and the high quality final product. I think most of the great masters had students do work on some of their most famous paintings...so I don't see how this is that much different*.

Really? Obviously I havent seen this in person, but I like it a lot. I think incorporating graffiti from the other artists is a great idea, and its 15 colors. The guy produces a quality product...although numbering and shipping aren;t his strong suits.
