Wasn't me personally. it was a friend. had to send something back three times then finally said forget it. The damage to the prints was really bad. Maybe they have gotten better

FAKE's tube came in the mail today. Definitely a "wow" moment opening them up.

I got the hand finished Fake Love Purple Sunset edition AP x/5 and the Love Hurts x/20. I am really glad I got the Sunset edition for Fake Love so I'll be able to frame the two together and they will look amazing. The colors are vibrant and jump out at you- he blends the colors really well together. I was worried the sunset would look cheesy with overlapping colors but it doesn't at all. The orange in the Love Hurts is great. Both were expensive but I am very glad I got them.

He shipped in a very large tube, rolled them individually in kraft paper, and labeled the tube fragile. I got it within 5 days of shipment, including the holiday so perfect in that sense.

I exchanged e-mails with him before buying them. He's friendly, gets back to you really quick, and keeps you updated on the status of the order.

So, yeah, a positive experience all-around. I'll post pictures soon.

Just got this bad boy today only took 4 business days from Amsterdam to Chicago, not too shabby. Very nice packaging, all corners razor sharp the paint is so even and flawless, it makes you question how he does it. Super nice guy, i probably exchanged 10 emails with him and he was happy to answer all my questions. Would recommend doing business with him.

Its sad i cant get shipments from people in the us in mint condition, yet this travels half way across the world and is flawless.

when i was talking to him he had several matching colors of love hurts and fake love and are cheaper than his prints on paper. They are also considerably smaller though. I really wanted to pull the trigger on a set, it sounds good until you do the conversion from pounds to dollars.

The colors are so unique on these prints, my mentality was to match up the only thing i could, the black. Let the print stand out.

Awesome, took mine to the framers on Saturday. Its getting hung next to the Fake Love so i did the same frame job.

Please do post pics. I wanted to see the different color scheme on the AP's. From the JPEGS it looks like the AP is yellow/orange, where the regular edition looks to have a little purple in it.

See i think he good tubes, but there not that thick by anymeans. But both have showed up from amsterdam to chicago dead mint, so no complaints.

The best part is flattening them, between the thick paper and the spray paint it happens so fast, i had my completely flat in less than 24 hours.

I picked up the two other Fake Love 1/1's and the Lazerboy when I got the e-mail. Very pumped to get them. Not sure what I'll do with three Fake Loves though- and they're all 1's. 1/1 x 2 and a 1/5.The Fake's in my collection are among the highest quality in terms of paper and "wow" factor of the colors. They jump out at you.

It'd be cool if he did a young girl returning fire, or another boy dressed as an Indian with a colorful headdress and a hatchet. (Not to be politically incorrect, just keeping with the theme.)

I like the idea.
The Indian would be ok I think, because his style with the cowboy is that of the 1940s-50s in the movies, so it would be a print based on a style of the past, opposed to just being politically incorrect, plus, when we still have teams called the Redskins, Cheifs, Braves, Indians and the Blackhawks, a little picture with a low print run won't cause a stir.

registration marks help line things up... also you can do color seperations in some graphics software... you could go a step further and use a laser cutter to cut your stencils. I have a really cool stencil one of my students father cut on a laser cutter to do a logo we were using in a school play... I think it ended up being 6 colors - it was a logo for a union - we needed to make 20 picket signs... I should try to find one... came out real cool.

The amazing thing about Fake is how clean and precise his stencil work is. Without the aid of friggin' laser beams. My hands shake like an alcoholic on DT's, I cannot imagine the steadiness of his hands. That's why I paint Impressionist style:thumbsup

No -- I have none of that software. We use AutoCad & Inventor to manufacture Sheet Metal parts and assemblies. I think I might know what to do here -- raster image...

sorta the point I think. IMO he's trying to highlight the disparity/disconenct between childhood innocence (the Disney characters) and the underbelly of the real world that eventually overtakes and replaces the youthful innocence in each of us

This. Also, the exploitation in enterprises that have come to represent American childhood (think Disney, or the McDonalds happy meal, etc) as they inherently exclude large parts of the population and depend upon the creative marketing to young children.

And I like the inked Snow White; which it was an editioned print, I'd pick one up. Not sure I'd have a place to display the Tinkerbell.
