I'm trying to find tickets for the 6/16 Cincinnati show @ Riverbend and made an offer to an ebay seller to end an auction early.

The seats are Sec. 300 Row K Seats 303 and 304. Is $250 a reasonable price for these? How likely would I be to find comperable seats for less?

Id wait for TM/LN ticket drop.

In Pittsburgh they have had 2 drops so far. Lots of tickets in sec 1, 2, 3.

Do you just periodically check to see when more are released?

Drops happen at random times. Hard to stay on top of them and actually work. My advice is to NOT pay more then face, not matter what. All your doing is feeding the scalping machine.
Tickets will become available, have faith.

how often do they happen? can I check it once a day and expect to end up with them? this isn't like an F5 situation is it?

Watch the WH, someone usually post if tickets drop.

I check at random times or watch the boards to see if anyone else is reporting the drop.

Well I certainly would rather not, but one way or another I'm going to sit in the first 20 rows at that show.

Well I live in Indianapolis. Not local per se, but it's the closest venue before Deer Creek. My girlfriend's birthday is 5/31 and it was supposed to be a gift to her, since its about 2 weeks after her actual b-day. I want to get good seats too because she's never sat closer than the lawn at any of the 8 shows we've been to.

That's not exactly true because we had decent field seats at Busch last year, but still not exactly close.

Thanks for the help again clwatt3

Two ways of looking at this:
1. any seat you could get would be an upgrade since all she knows is the lawn. Warning once she sits in the seats she may never want to go back to lawn seats.

2. Save the money you would pay over face and treat her to a nice dinner and then sit in any seats you could find for face.

I'm ok in lawn seats, but through the last couple years, she's made a point of saying she really wants to get close for once. I figured a birthday is the best time to make that happen. I think she had envisioned being in an area like the pit at riverbend or like the front 5 rows elsewhere, but realistically she'd be ecstatic in the first 20 rows or so.

She's spoiled so she'll probably get that anyway. I figured that whatever I save on tix could make dinner better though.

She took me skydiving a couple of weeks ago for my b-day, so I don't mind paying more to make sure she gets what she wanted for her's, but who does like paying more than they should for something (especially when doing so hurts such a great community)?

Thanks for the input though guys! Here's to hoping they pop up for face!

My answer is yes, but its a qualified yes. You need to find out exactly where seats 303 and 304 are. If they are on the outside of the section (meaning away from the middle and the stage, then the answer is no, they are not worth it.

If you are in sections 100 and 300 at Riverbend and have tickets on the outside of the section, you cant see shit-the angles are so, so wide there, that you would be better off getting something in the next section back more towards the middle.

I wouldnt even bother asking the seller, I would call the box office and get it right from the horses' mouth, and even then, just hope you get someone on the phone that knows and is not just telling you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone.

The wide seats at Riverbend are some of the reasons why I'm hesitant to buy from WH sellers who don't know their seat #'s yet, especially ones with tickets marked limited or obstructed view. They advertised it as being in the center, and that would appeal to logic, since the layout is 1, 2, 3, left to right in front of the stage.

So you think its worth it huh? The seller must be betting against the idea that the auction would get to $250 though, because she jumped on it. I'm still winning the auction @ $86. I could always finish the auction to $250 or follow through with the offer if I change my mind.

If you look at TM, it shows 301 being on the inside, closer to the center.

Your girl and I share a birthday!

My birthday was Pittsburgh N2 last year; my 30th. My girlfriend was a post whore for several weeks leading up to the show looking for tickets. She made it clear why she wanted good seats. Someone came through for us and sold us seats in something like the 9th row of the center section.

Keep the faith. Don't pay over face. :tsk
