And what is the best one in your opinion?

I have always used USPS. Never sent out tube that got damaged and never received one. My biggest problem is there Delivery Confirmation is just dumb. You only know when you "receive" the print and it seems like its wrong half the time anyways, but I still always pay of it.

Insurance claims may take a while with USPS but you always get your money. UPS and FedEx tend to screw you over completing on insurance. There is a good thread on EB I will find. Pretty sure I have linked it over here before.

EDIT:

Insurance thread from EB

I strictly use Fedex...hard to beat the included tracking, delivery confirmation, and $100 insurance on whatever you ship. I also made my own account, had supplies shipped to my door, and downloaded a free program that integrates payments from paypal and automatically creates shipping documents you can print. (It's called shiprush). Using the program gives me anywhere from an 8-21% discount.

Also, concerning the claims...recently with Fedex I was given VERY little problems getting my claim filed. The only issue, the shipper is the one that must follow through on the claim. However (as in my case) if the shipper faxes a letter to Fedex stating they are turning the claim ability to the receiver, the receiver can claim. I received my check 3 days after the letter was received.

But on ground shipping you can only insure it for up to 100. Even if you declare it worth more they only give you 100 in the claim.

At least according to the EB thread. And I don't know why someone would make that up...:confused

I meant to ask you yesterday, but whats it normally cost to ship Fedex? Say a 3"x25" tube with kraft paper insured for the minimum of $100 with your account? I am thinking of switching from USPS, but interested to know what the price difference is:think

Pretty much USPS exclusively.

Not sure I have a tremendous amount of faith in any of them, but USPS hasn't been bad to me.

If it's good enough for Methane, it's good enough for me.
