good luck on you quest for skull I got super lucky this week. Scored both my grails skull, and a sax.. $1100 later of course.. ouch
my whole season of collecting was really to reach this goal, and I'm glad I did in the 4th quarter with like one min left :)

I consider this one of two things, addiction and/or lifestyle...now that I think about it, it is both. Sometimes, I wish it was just a season. I just love some of the artwork.

Yeah I should say the DMB season, Because I just can't stop collecting others.. But my whole purpose this season was just that.. Buy at good prices, sell at good prices, and cash it all in for two prints. Skull & sax, Nothing else mattered this year.. Don't care for much of the prints this year very, very few are really standout prints to me, and I kept all of those..And of course the shows I attended...

you are probably going to have to go above and beyond cash wise at this point. It seems like the dmb 'grails' are starting to bump into that $700 range. I think a sax sold for that last week and Skulls have been going for around $600. In my mind, the skull is really on par with that. Plus, buying a known commodity from someone on this site is a bit of a premium over rolling the dice on ebay. Plus, once people starting offering ridiculous prices for the dave budich (imho), all bets were off on show poster prices. (also, $700 for the gold firedancer?? WTF) However, prices seem to dip a bit in the off season. Good luck!

All good points. Good luck on your search OP. I believe you will have to pay a premium for this as the demand is > than the supply. There are not that many around nowadays that haven't been destroyed or in the hands of people who will not get rid of them (including myself).

I dont think this is the right marketplace for the offer. If someone is desperate for some cash maybe, but the majority of the people here are avid collectors and it would take a new highest sale for them to get rid of theirs.

really good point. i just don't see anyone on DP getting rid of their's unless it's for some crazy offer.

and even going to vegas myself in dec, $600 wouldn't even cut it for me! now if i were to have the first $1000 sale of a dave poster ever, we may be talking! ;)
