No kidding, they were on my list of bands to see next summer since DMB won't be touring. Oh well....

Me too. But the 8:10pm update kind of downplays his comment:
UPDATE, 8:10 p.m.: Longtime Pearl Jam publicist Nicole Vandenberg tells us in an email that it's nothing serious. "He says that at the end of all tours, because the tour has ended. The remark may have gotten a little lost in translation."

everyone has known about this since the rumours of soundgarden reuniting began. when he says a long time he could be referring to europe or he could be giving soundgarden and other pj members time to do other projects. eddie will do a solo tour hopefully. people are going crazy over nothing. pearl jam hasn't done a regular tour in a long time. also i'm sure eddie wants to spend time with his new wife and the other band members want to spend time with their families. this is the 20th anniversary. nobody deserves a break more than pj. they do anything and everything for their fans. thank you pj and will see you when you are ready to return.
