Have you guys heard it yet? My brother told me about it. He searched YouTube for "Dave Matthews 2007" and came up with a bunch of videos from Europe.

Dave came up with a way to play the song himself on an electric with some delay effects, and a big tempo change, it sounds really good I think! Though I will always love the slow, extremely emotional versions we got in '06

I saw this video, I think on myspace. I like it for a change of pace. I think it's just a solo thing. Playing it slower solo would make Dave too damn nervous, so he sped it up to get a little more comfortable....I think.

Glad to see he got rid of the glasses.

I agree with Johnny Cakes though. I do like it better, and it's a good solo.

i still think the full band is better. dont' get me wrong, if i had never seen full band i would LOVE dave solo, but there's something about stefan's bass and dave's love making to the microphone that just does it for me :christy

I think it would be awesome if the full band started out with the regular slow tempo, then had a little transition part and kicked it up to this faster tempo... that would be so tits. :thumbsup

Sweet, I had never heard of the electric solo version. I like it, and I love when Dave plays that guitar. At the shows you know it's gonna be the Bayou, smooth rider, or like me praying everytime I see it...Break free. That song has been my favorite since Fenway and Randalls last year, I just love it with Rashawn blasting away on the trumpet. I have to say though Shotgun's return and the new Cornbread and #27, are absolutely amazing this tour. I only have 2 shows at the Hollywood Bowl left, gimme some Break Free boys.

:pounce please! :woohoo
